Eastenders

EastEnders is a long-running British soap opera, first broadcast on 19th February 1985. It was created by Julia Smith and Tony Holland, pitched as an on-going serial about the lives of the residents in the East-end of London, specifically the residents of Albert Square in the fictional borough of Walford. Since 1985 it has been produced by the BBC, and for all that time it has been one of the UK’s most famous television shows.
